I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up from a very early age, there was never really any question that I would be surrounding myself with horses. I started riding at the age of 10 and was able to purchase my own horse at the age of 14. I was lucky enough to work along side professional trainers at the age 15 and soaked up everything I could like a sponge from then on.
It was about 10 years ago when I first met the gaited trainer Larry Whitesell and started specializing in the gaited breeds. Larry lead me in the direction of Natural Horsemanship combined with Classical Dressage training and applied it to gaited horses. He taught me to never stop learning and his enthusiasm for education was contagious. I encourage my students in the same way. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have worked with various horses of different breeds, in different disciplines and with lots of good clinicians and coaches, but the horses themselves have been my best teachers, I am truly a student of the horse and hope to be for the rest of my life.
With all my years in the saddle, having had many different horses as my partners, I have compiled a system of training that works whether you are going down the trail or in the show ring. I'm grateful to be able to use my intuitive skills to understand the horses and my experience and knowledge to help both the horses and riders. I see the benefits in training the horse and rider, physically, and emotionally, that's the beauty of true harmony. I always encourage a calm and welcoming learning environment free of negativity and judgement.
Whether you need to build confidence or you are new to riding or you are a more advanced rider who is looking for refinement, I can help and show you the way. Everyone embarks on their own journey in horsemanship that's what is so special..It's your own journey! My question to you is "When can I start helping you and your horse succeed together on your journey?".
